Popular Ghanaian Journalist and ace Presenter, Gifty Anti, has expressed that her marriage at forty-five years and childbirth at age forty-seven has inspired a lot of people who are dealing with barrenness and women who have not met their marriage partners yet.
According to her, this hope her life experience gives to others brings her so much satisfaction.
Speaking to Rev. Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series, Gifty reminisced the time after she had her daughter at age forty-seven. She says: “I was surprised by the love shown me. I had goosebumps. I knew there were people who loved me, wished me well and looked up to me but what surprised me was the kind of hope it inspired”.
She instanced that prior to the interview with Rev.Erskine, a lady met her and declared, “Aunty Gifty I tap into your blessing and I believe that because God did it for you, he will do it for me too”.
“People who thought that they were in their thirties and are not married so they won’t get married or they are struggling to get a child now have hope that if God did it for Gifty he will do it for them. And for me, that is all I wanted and that is why I named my daughter, ‘Nyame Animuonyam’.
Gifty Anti, 50, got married in 2015 to the chief of Akwamu Adumasa, Nana Ansah Kwao IV, in a colourful wedding which was dubbed ‘the Royal Wedding’. The couple had to wait for two years to welcome their first baby, Nyame Animuonyam, who is now three years old.
