Ghanaian singer-songwriter and producer, Akwaboah, has disclosed how he came about the name for his new album, ‘Lighthouse’.
Defining what exactly a light house is, he stated that, “It is mostly found beside the sea standing rooted in the ground, with blocks and everything and no matter the wave that hits it, it still keeps standing because it has a very strong foundation.”
In an interview with NYDJ on Y 102.5 FM’s Ryse N Shyne show, he said, “A lighthouse also shines on the sea for lost ships and people on the sea to find their way home.
So basically all I’m trying to say is that I am deeply rooted in everything I am doing and I’m the light shining in the Ghanaian music industry.”
Akwaboah highlighted that the album is to tell anyone who wants to enjoy great music to just find their way back home, as he is available to entertain them with the best in music.
Not wanting to go into details about the album, he stated that, the album has different genres. “It has Highlife, reggae and many others for all to enjoy.”
He asked fans to stay tuned and be expectant because, “This is just the beginning and they would love every song on ‘Lighthouse’ because it has a song for everyone.”
