Media personality, voice-over artiste and entrepreneur, Antoine Mensah, has provided a list of things that artistes must do in preparation for the coming Christmas season.

Speaking on part two of Y102.5FM Kumasi’s Y-Holiday Havoc Twitter Spaces discussion on the topic ‘How Ghanaian talents can win in December’ he first mentioned and emphasized on the importance of getting the event calendar and filling it up personally.

“The dates of the year of return activities and all are put out earlier and that’s key. If you’re an A-list or B-list artistes you will be booked but if you’re working on yourself as an artiste, reach out to them -I mean event organizers- or ask your team to reach out and ask if they have any opportunity for you”, he said.

“While you’re doing that, make sure your socials are intact and you have the good videos at hand as well as good content on your YouTube page. Materials on there must sell you even further”, he added.

He hammered on the importance of having a team to help. Specifically people or someone who knows the business aspect of the art of music. “If you have them, they can help you when things get tight out there”, the media personality advised.

Again, Antoine noted that artistes must give a good impression of themselves and be on time every time. He also advised that artistes should make it a priority to make available content from events and details on their socials that can help people get in touch with them. “These contents help people remember you even after the event”, he reiterated.

Antoine Mensah hinted that the Christmas season is a very good time to grow one’s brand, hence, putting the right things in place and making the right contacts can go a long way to open major doors for artistes.
