Enoch Nana Yaw Oduro- Agyei, popularly known as Trigmatic credits the era of digitalization as a windfall to himself and all other artistes in Ghana and across the globe.
In the course of an interview on the Dryve of Your Lyfe show with Nana Kwasi-Wusu (PM) on Y97.9FM, he disclosed how tedious it was for artistes to put their work across back in the days, and how privileged artistes are today in this era of social media as they can easily put their stuff out to the public.
“We are lucky to be in this era. It’s an era where you don’t have an excuse. Back then we would chase radio presenters from their homes and would wait for them to come out so we give them our CDs
It was the era of CD pouches, where there were no streaming services, no internets,” he expressed.
The Multi-award winning rapper and singer urged other artistes to take advantage of this era and nullify making excuses, as he believes things are moving quicker and information spreads faster than before.
Trigmatic also believes should social media cease to exist, a lot of artistes could have been wiped out, history would have been lost and talents could have gone undiscovered.
The Folklore Ambassador shared how digitalization positively impacted him and how social media allowed him to meet other prominent people across Africa.
“When Covid struck, I was always on Twitter picking up the right contacts while others went about bashing on there.
I made contacts with some important people within the African continent and around the world. I met one of the youth MPs in Kenya and a few politicians around Africa, all on Twitter. I go into their DMs and have a good and straight to business chat,” he shared.
Trigmatic also trusts digitalization is here to stay and will impact heavily on the job market as he advised people to capitalize on social media.
