Ghanaian rapper Bayku, has expressed his admiration to the craft and personality of rap M.C, M.anifest.
Bayku featured the “God M.C” on his “Gamble’ project, channeling his experience from a hurtful relationship.
Speaking on “The Gamble” in an interview with Kojo Manuel on Y107.9 FM’s “Drye of Your Lyfe”, Bayku said the project was about “mistakes that we make with some of our relationship experiences and it all happened at the time I was going through it.”
“With this I have to give full credit to M.anifest. His approach to music is slightly different. He is not really too concerned about the glory or the fame aspect of the song blowing up, as much as he wants to talk on the emotions he is feeling. Some girl shows me something nice and it got to me,” he added.
He further revealed that the advice to communicate his pain in his songs was from M.anifest and has since not had any regrets.
“I got to the studio and he was the one who advised me to put it on the song as he literally kind of got me there and we made it happen. I give him a lot of respect for just the way he approaches things. He lets it be true so that’s what becomes the song, you know when you’re in that mood you’ll probably just hear that.”
