Ghanaian singer and songwriter, Adomaa has defined her upcoming project as “The Experience”. To her, the project goes beyond an EP or an album.
Adomaa recently announced the upcoming of her latest project, “Becoming Adomaa: The Experience” after a successful foray in her acting career, a time away from the music scene.
In an interview with Y107.9 FM’s Akosua Hanson, she explained that the project comes along with a short film and documentary, blending both the acting and music part of her life to make the concept one of its kind.
“This project is called “The Becoming Adomaa Experience” and I’m saying it’s an experience and not an EP or album because like I explained earlier with acting and music, I feel like I can’t be one without the other. So just moving forward especially with music I wanted to not take out acting because I would not have made this comeback without it. So, it just influenced the direction of where the project was going to go. So, with my team we agreed it will be great if we made a short film. The entire project is actually a short film but music as well and there’s a documentary that’s attached to it,” she said.
The alternative actress furthered as she disclosed that the album release will be followed with multiple nights with screenings of short films featuring music from her EP. A documentary that takes a deep dive into events from her start in music, through her disappearance and now, to her return.
“We’re looking at musical concept that works at the end of the year. So basically, I wanted an experience where people can come watch the film, hear the music, watch the documentary and have some Q&As. Its very mental health centered and if people are there and they want to share or ask anything, I will be there to answer questions and to learn, just interact. There will be food created for the event. It’s just going to be a very nice moment where we listen to good music and watch really good visuals as well and a cohesive story,” she added.
Adomaa’s series of events with her project tagged ‘Becoming Adomaa: The Experience,’ and the nights promise to be incredibly special, enthralling and deeply engaging.
