Nigerian lawyer Esohe Grace Olajide has revealed that female legal practitioners are made more confident as they immerse themselves in their day to day legal activities.
She acknowledged that in becoming a female lawyer there are a number of hurdles and complexities that emerge on account of just being a woman.
In an X space held by YFM to commemorate International Women’s Month, she hinted on resilience as a major value a woman in the said space must bare.
She further explained that because women tend to be labeled as incapable of being in the legal space, focus is key and must never be broken. “You always have to go through your documents of any possible errors and correct them before presenting it; because as a woman, you are already seen as not fit for the job as a lawyer so you must be very focused.”
The X space conversation themed , ‘Invest in Women, Accelerate Progress’, gathered influential and passionate women empowerment activist to deliberate on how women can be acknowledged properly and be given the appropriate conditions to also succeed and make strides in society.
