Ghanaian-born Nigerian musician, Gibrilville, has disclosed how spending a year in an American prison changed his life.
Not going into details, he mentioned that, he found himself in an unfortunate situation which landed him there.
In an interview with Brown Berry on Y107.9FM’s RyseNShyne, he said, “I spent about a year in prison when I was in America and that year cleaned me up a lot. If you understand that you’re from certain lineages, then you will know that things like alcohol and marijuana are not things that will be accepted in that linage.”
He however shared that, out of his unfortunate incident, he learnt that, sometimes out of bad things, good things can come out of them.
“So when I spent that year in jail and was forced to abstain from the vices, that gave me strength because I didn’t have a choice in there than to go through it. It made me stronger,” he said.
Gibrilville also added that while doing that, he fought hard and reinventing himself.
“I had to keep reading to get the explanation and I started understanding that everything that was happening to me were entities that came to all the great Kings in there. By reading the scriptures, I found myself,” he asserted.
The musician shared his experience in prison inspired him to put together a song which he has titled ‘Angels’. “It is yet to be released so I’ll encourage everyone to get it as soon as it’s out,” he charged.
