Nigerian music director ThankGod Omori Jesam known to showbiz as TG Omori has opined that democracy in Africa has not done a good job as a system of government throughout the continent and should be abandoned.
The filmmaker took to social media to express his take on democracy in Africa after his reactions made regarding recent news of Nigeria’s All Progressive Congress presidential candidate who emerged victorious in the 2023 presidential election, by which he stated, “the game is the game”- implying that Nigerians adapt to the reality of politics.
Omori’s comment displeased many social media users who expressed their displeasure in what he said including a tweet he quoted on his Twitter page being tagged as a supporter of the said candidate. The videographer debunked that allegation saying, “Lol y’all forcing a candidate on me now? To cancel me or what? I don’t even believe in democracy.” he noted.
Lol y’all forcing a candidate on me now, To cancel me or what? 🤣 I don’t even believe in democracy, Africa in general should never be amalgamated by force in the first place, we should live as kingdoms and tribes not country and states cos y’all don’t even like yourselves. https://t.co/mV4gnfGV8S

He mentioned further that Africa would be better off being a continent governed by capitalism and broken into tribes than living as country and states because Africans do not like each other. “Africa in general should never be amalgamated by force in the first place, we should live as kingdoms and tribes not country and states. Cos y’all don’t even like yourselves.” he echoed.
