Ghanaian Afrofusion artiste, Mullah has revealed the creative process behind his debut song, titled 4am.
4am was labelled by the singer as a motivation to all who are broken hearted during an interview on Y107.9FM’s Ryse N Shyne with host, Brown Berry, as he described the heavy toll heartbreaks tend to have and toxicity that broods over its victims.
According to the singer, heartbreaks are given minimal attention in these parts of the world, considered as quite trivial, and taken on light notes. “Coming from Ashaiman, where I grew up, you would see how boys behave when it comes to relationships; And for us boys when we meet, and we hear that someone has gotten a broken heart, boys would laugh at you and make fun of you.” he revealed.
During the interview, Mullah disclosed the reason behind the title of the breath taking song, saying “The song came from a real place; I woke up at 4:00am one dawn, I was having this mixed feeing about the lady who broke my heart; I woke up and I was just pondering over all that happened and birthed the song through those thoughts.”
“4 AM” is a resolute anthem for those seeking freedom from damaging partners, delivering a powerful message of empowerment and self-worth.
