The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Vodafone Ghana, Patricia Obo-Nai has displayed her depth of knowledge in the music industry of the country.
Speaking on her taste in music, Patricia, an advocate for women empowerment was quick to note that she prefers songs which inspire and do not objectify women as sex objects. “I like nice songs that do not denigrate or vilify women with their lyrics.”
According to her, rapper Sarkodie is one of the best musicians in the country. Expressing her love for his music, she noted that, “Sarkodie has rhythm and his rap is always on point.”
She made this disclosure in an interview with Y107.9FM’s Rev Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series, a newly introduced segment on the Myd Morning Radio Show.
On her authority, she has listened to KiDi’s latest song titled ‘Say Cheese’ and loves the song. For inspiration, the Vodafone Ghana boss will turn to songs from Diana Hamilton and Joe Mettle.
She added that her taste in music is not necessarily about the artiste but the quality of the song. “If the song is nice, we will dance to it.”
Songs which made it to her playlist include;
Kofi Kinaata’s – ‘Things Fall Apart’
Sarkodie and Efya’s – ‘Saara’
Stonbwoy’s – ‘Go higher’
Shatta Wale’s – ‘Melissa’
