Finding it difficult to transfer WhatsApp data from one operating system to another? Your are not alone. For Apple’s iOS users on WhatsApp, transferring their entire chat history particularly to Android devices was non-existent — until recently.
After many years of users mounting pressure on the creators, the Facebook-owned app has finally launched the feature that allows users to transfer their WhatsApp library across platforms. This includes voice notes, photos and conversations.
The only downside is, the feature is only available to Samsung users only for the time being. Yes, you need to own a Galaxy in order to benefit from this tool now.
The feature was announced during the recent Galaxy Unpacked event, with it available at first on the Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Z Flip 3. WhatsApp says it can preserve end-to-end encryption throughout the process and eventually plans to expand the scheme beyond moving from iPhone to Samsung phones.
It will roll out to other Android phones, and will eventually let you switch to iPhone too.
