Dancegod Lloyd shares how he ventured into music

Ghanaian multi-talented dancer and Choreographer Laud Anoo Konadu known professionally as Dancegod Lloyd has revealed how he started doing music.
He mentioned that being a dancer made it very easy for him to set foot into the industry because he works with a lot of artistes and also, “Dancers have good ears for good music so, we know it when good music bangs”.
Narrating how it all happened on Y 107.9 FM’s ‘Wake N Bake’ with Kula he shared, “So I was home and Medikal hit me up that he had a song for me so I quickly got in touch with him and after hearing his verse and the beat I also came out with a verse and that’s how ‘Sika’ became a hit”.
According to Dancegod Lloyd although he did not see this coming he enjoys doing it because he believes this is his purpose.
He furthered that, he is currently working on a project which he calls ‘Akwantuo’ which means journey and the purpose of this project is to tell his story and also inspire the upcoming ones who have the passion for dancing not to give up.
“So the album is dance-oriented and it will be more like a documentary to tell our story as dancers. How we started, what the journey has been like, where we are now and what’s next for us”.
Dancegod Lloyd is out with another single which features his dance partner Afrobeast and they call this one ’Corner der’.
He entreated listeners to stream the song because it tells their story about how “we suffered to find our way to the top without help from anyone. It’s also our wish to build a dance and arts school to help upcoming ones fulfil their passion. Everyone who streams this song helps to make this a reality” he said.
