Founder and General Overseer of Life International Church, Bishop Gordon Kisseh, has disclosed how he combined school and Christianity during his time.
According to him, he gave his life to Jesus Christ in Senior High School (SHS), and spoke of values including authenticity Christianity which attracted him to the things of God.
Speaking to Naa Dzama on Y107.9FM’s YLeaderboard Series, he said, “At that time if you call someone a Christian you must see some signs that indeed prove the person is a Christian. He or she didn’t force himself or herself to be one and you could see from their conduct they were different, weird and genuine and that attracted me to them.”
The Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology(KNUST) graduate read Chemical Engineering in school, and combining that with Christianity was very demanding. Regardless, he was willing and ready to follow that path.
“I didn’t have any dramatic way of coming to Christ, but just spending more time with the Lord will help you and get you ready for all that,” he added.
Responding to how he managed to stay grounded to church, he revealed that discipline and the company he kept helped him achieve this purpose.
“I could stay in the library and do a lot more work and study. So if I was going to fellowship, I knew that I had two hours which I must be able to use to catch up. Also, I used my room a lot because in those days and years, we didn’t have many room mates which gave me so much privacy,” he stated.
The Bishop explained that the kind of company he kept at that time really helped him achieve his aim in school and also stick is his Christian morals and values.
“So I want to tell my listeners that they need to have very good friends who will impact them and they impact you as well positively,” he advised.
