DJ Kess named among 30 most influential women in music

YFM’s multi-award-winning DJ, Nana Kessewa Adu better known as ‘DJ Kess’, has been adjudged one of the thirty women who have made a difference in the music industry.
This recognition made by organizers of the 3Music Awards comes after months of scrutiny and consideration of unquantifiable service to music.
DJ Kess with her ingenious mixing of music on the Y Lounge has continued serving listeners with soothing great music in the evening. Over the course of time, this extraordinary DJ has earned the accolade, ‘Africa’s Baddest DJ’ because of her finesse in beat making and music production where she has featured many artistes both local and international.

Programmes Manager of YFM Accra, Eddy Blay, speaking on this recognition of DJ Kess stated: “We are proud of DJ Kess and she wholly deserves this recognition. We at YFM will support her all the way”.
DJ Kess on her part expressed her elation at this recognition when she stated: “I am very happy about this recognition and I thank organizers of the 3Music Awards”.
The Top 30 most influential women in music project is a feature of the 3Music Awards Women’s Brunch dedicated to recognizing, rewarding, and honouring the standout achievements of female creatives and accessories within the Ghanaian music space.
DJ Kess is the official DJ of the Y Lounge hosted by Akosua Hanson which airs from 7pm to 10pm, Mondays to Thursdays.
