Managing Director of EDC Investments Ltd, Paul Kofi Mante has advised the youth to always push themselves to achieve success in life.
He furthered that the youth must never allow others to discourage them into reaching their goal.
Sharing his own experience with Rev. Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series, he noted that prior to gaining admission to St. Augustine’s College, his teacher discouraged him from selecting the school on the reasoning that he was not a fit for the school.
Years later, he reveals that as an MBA student at the University of Ghana, he wrote 18 papers and he ended up having all As in these papers.
He thus advised: “You should never tell anyone they are dumb or unintelligent. I want to encourage young ones to push themselves to the limit. When you do your best and you don’t get it you know you have done your best. I have always told myself that if I ever went to school to meet anybody in the classroom, I would beat them flat in the classroom”.
Paul Kofi Mante is the deputy head of Ecobank Development Corporation (EDC) Investments Limited. He is also the head of business development of the Asset Management business of EDC, and a board member of the EDC Ghana Balanced Fund – the biggest balanced fund in Ghana.
