Seasoned journalist, Kwami Sefa Kayi, also referred to as the Chairman General, has advised the youth to never be static in one position, but to look out for new avenues to better themselves in life.
In an interview with Rev. Erskine on the Y-Leaderboard Series which aired on Ghana’s number one urban radio station, YFM, he noted that talent, as they say, is good but relying on one’s talent alone does not get them anywhere.
“You need to hone your skills, you need to develop your skills because life has evolved. Life is a constant learning curve so you cannot sit in one place and say you’ll rely on your talent. Not in this kind of environment.
You need to self-develop. That, I’ll tell you for free any day. If you have a good job, you have a good voice, you have a flair for speaking, you have a flair for writing, people have told you good things about yourself, don’t let it get to your head. Continue to develop yourself and look for new avenues to make you better”, said Sefa Kayi.
The Chairman General further advised that the youth should look into other areas that they never imagined they had the strength to venture into, acquire knowledge in other areas and evolve as life evolves.
