Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Glitz Africa, Claudio Lumor, has recounted her successive gains as a business pro.
The winner of the most coveted Miss KNUST advising the youth said, “Being pretty and being smart should account for academic excellence. I had no option than to study because I wanted my siblings to be proud of me.”
The business woman, the first daughter of her parents did not bank on her pretty to make it, but she achieved academic excellence, paving the way for high education and a heightened business acumen.
Always striving to be a good example to her siblings, she made sure she was one of the first females from her high school to enter the university. “If I didn’t make it to the university and pursue my master’s degree, how was I going to push my younger siblings to study?”
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Rev. Erskine on YFM’s leaderboard Series, she shared her motivation to yearn for more and seek perfection.
“So what kept me going was seeing to it that things are done the way it should be. So, you see me taking the roles and doing them myself just to finish them. You could see me doing almost everything.“
She highlighted that being a role model demands respect.
“I think I understood from a very young age that my life is something that my younger ones are looking up to so I wanted to be that respectful and respected girl with a good career,“ she said.
