Social media platform X, is on the verge of creating another trend as users frown on the sudden active presence of Dance With A Purpose (DWP) members on X timelines.
Dance With A Purpose (DWP) Academy is a reputable Ghana based dance crew and academy, that has won the hearts of many people globally through creating dance challenges with the most enjoyed songs in every season.
A senior member of the popular dance crew caused a stir on the platform a day ago with a controversial post that involved he and a female team mate in a romantic skit, with the caption, “may this bond never break.” but later disclosed that the post and his activeness on the app was for commercial purposes.
Other DWP members after making posts aggravated the stirs of X users, urging the dancers to stay on other social media platforms and make themselves extinct on X. A tweep described X (formerly known as Twitter) as a ‘toxic place’ and can affect their creative journey. He said “I think Twitter is a toxic place; see how they are harrassing the DWP dancers; My best advice; they should stay away at Tiktok and Instagram. This app can affect their creative journey.”
A couple of tweeps who believed that the dancers must deactivate their accounts. They said, “How dem dey hail you for Tiktok no, you no go get am for here oo. Deactivate fast; IG and Tiktok dier they’ll worship and lick your boots oo; So if you allow that to get in your head and bring that here, you go collect make e over you waa.”
However, the dance crew in a post made on their official X page, saying, “Don’t think because we don’t respond to some of your tweets you have made sense. If we don’t respond just know your place.” in a bid to express the irrelevance of the attitude of users on X timelines.
