Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Co-Founder of Jambo Spaces, Bernard Sokpe (Meister), has advised Ghanaian youth to learn to say yes to every opportunity presented them whether they fit in or not.
The creative who has worked with many multinationals says every single opportunity presents an avenue for learning even if it does not fall within one’s capabilities.
He said, “ I say yes to every opportunity as it affords me the chance to do it and know how it is done. I then get to decide if I can do it or not the next time.”
In an interview with Y107.9FM’s Rev Erskine on the Y Leaderboard Series, he indicated that it is through such an outlook of life that he builds relationships with business executives and gets other contracts.
“I went somewhere, and they didn’t think I was the right person for the job, and when we were talking, I told them what I do. It struck a chord, and we partnered. Sometimes different actions open different avenues for you to explore, and then you get to do something you didn’t envision to do,” he added.
The Y Leaderboard Series is an interactive and mentoring segment on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show, which airs every Wednesday from 10:00am. On the show, seasoned leaders in various industries share their lives journey with the youth and also guide them on making sound life decisions.
