Ghanaian America based singer and song writer 1ucid has indicated that young creatives especially musicians in Ghana do not lack talent but are rather receded by lack of finances.
In an interview on Y107.9FM’s Ryse N’ Shyne with host Brown Berry, the producer highlighted that he believes in Ghana’s entertainment industry and the talents available but the industry lacks the needed equipment to develop. “I think the entertainment industry needs support and I know sometimes it consists of funding; I know there’s a lot of talent in Ghana, but they are not getting the support they need like equipment to record and so on.” he mentioned.
The creative during the interview addressed the government to bring the entertainment industry into the spotlight and make it sustainable and beneficial to young creatives in Ghana. “I think we should ask the government to support the entertainment side so that we can explode and then find time to help the yong musicians out.” he hinted with an eagerness to see talent in Ghana go beyond the borders of Africa.
