Dr Gershon Sena Sekley, CEO/G2 Medical Laboratory Services has stated the major reason why some men rely on sexual stimulants.
Defining what exactly aphrodisiacs are, he shared, “it is a substance or chemical one takes to stimulate the system to promote sexual attention, behavior and pleasure”.
Touching on some points that can influence the use of aphrodisiacs he also shared that, “situations like erectile dis-functioning and unsustained erection pushes some men to take aphrodisiacs just so they can enhance their sexual life”.
Talking to Nana Yaw Odame on e.TV Ghana’s Men’s Lounge he said, “Men mostly take aphrodisiacs to please their women. To make their women know that they are real men. They also take it to feel good about themselves”.
He shared that married men especially use aphrodisiacs because they want peace in their homes. “If you don’t please your woman, it can cause a lot of conflicts in your home and that is especially for married men”.
Hubert Tecku a communications expert who was also on the show added that most men use aphrodisiacs to make up for all the money they have spent on the woman.
He shared it is sometimes hard for women to give in to sex even after the men have spent millions on them so the use of aphrodisiacs “will help you get everything you’ve spent on her through sex”.
“You take her on a first date to one of the most expensive restaurants even you have not been to. This continues for the second and third dates and maybe the fourth or fifth before she gives it to you. You have to take that extra aphrodisiac and say today is today”, he teased.
According to him, peer pressure from fellow male friends is also another factor that can cause men to use Aphrodisiacs.
“Wanting to experience the same sexual feelings their friends talk about, pushed many men to get aphrodisiacs in order to have the same experience their friends talk about”, he asserted.
Dr Gershon advises men to stick to other ways of staying longer in bed like taking a lot of water, being stress free and having enough rest before sex to prevent them from destroying themselves and their organs.
