Ghanaian singer and songwriter Camidoh has advised his colleagues in the Ghanaian music to pay less attention to other continents and focus on Africa to promote their music.
The singer in an interview expressed concern on how Ghanaian artiste target the European and American market in promoting their music instead of reaching out to African countries to promote their songs.
Speaking on the “Dryve of your Lyfe” show with Nana Quasi-Wusu (PM) on Y 97.9 FM, the singer said; ” The white people makes us feel they have everything in order for us to come to them, but that is not the case. Artistes here should be concerned about how important they are in Africa before they make headway to the US and other western countries”.
The ‘Sugarcane’ hitmaker also called for artiste orientations and grooming to help them make right decisions.
“Some artistes make it off the street, so they don’t know the professional aspect of music and what the music business is all about”, he said.
He further called on industry players to conduct seminars to help groom and prepare artiste in the country.
Camidoh also revealed that his management team were making preparations to tour some African countries in the coming months.
