Ghanaian Media Personality, Actor, Entertainer and Communications Professional and Entrepreneur, George Nii Armah Quaye, has opened up about what drives him as a person.
Interviewed on the Springboard Hangout show by host, Comfort Ocran on e.TV Ghana, he said that some people are driven by money and all manner of things but when it comes to him, he is driven by two main things and these are challenges and the fear that he may not be able to feed his family someday.
He said, “Sometimes, I can be lying down, just relaxing and then it dawns on me that what if tomorrow, my daughter says she wants something and I can’t afford it or what if tomorrow, ECG just arrives at your house because you haven’t paid your bill and they disconnect your power? What if tomorrow, your water stops flowing and you cannot even call a tanker to come and supply? What if tomorrow you cannot pay your fees? What if tomorrow, there is no food on your table at home?”
The Businessman confessed that these fears are what drive him to keep working hard on a daily and the reason he works about four jobs. He further explained with an instance how he is driven by challenges.
“If I hear today that a company like Dangote is looking for a Communications specialist, it’s just the role. The company is probably doing something and they just want a Communications specialist to be there and manage their communications. I most likely would turn this offer down but if I’m to hear that Dangote cement has gotten into some kind of trouble and this is what is going to happen so they need a Communications expert who will be able to help, it makes me feel like I’m Olivia Pope”, George indicated.
