Ghana Food Movement organizes crowdfunding campaign to support ‘The Kitchen’ initiative

Ghana-based food industry corporation, Ghana Food Movement (GFM) has officially announced its crowdfunding campaign to support ‘The Kitchen’ initiative.

The Kitchen initiative a pioneering food education hub set to revolutionize Ghana’s culinary landscape. Designed to empower young Ghanaians with practical skills, knowledge and networking opportunities.

The Kitchen initiative follows the roll out of other initiatives and events the youth-populated movement have undertaken to promote a fair and resilient food ecosystem.

GFM on its mission to transform Ghana’s food industry, will rally about 1,000 people to train and equip them with knowledge and practical skills, create employment opportunities for youth in the food and agricultural sector, stimulate innovation and promote the Ghanaian culture through food.

The Crowdfunding campaign is set to gather the final tranche of donations to complete and furnish the hub. According to GFM, an estimated sum of  GHc1,408,500, will cater for all necessary equipment and tools to make this hub a reality.
