Nigerian singer and songwriter, Buju, has confessed that Ghana is one country that has a very special place in his heart and he loves being here.
In an interview with Kojo Manuel on the Dryve of Your Lyfe, aired on Y107.9FM, he said this in reference to the reception from Ghana on his songs and Ladipoe’s popular song ‘Feelings’ which he featured on.
“It was very different and the energy was just right. I was surprised and it’s not just with Feelings. From the songs L’enu to Confidence, Outside, Feelings to Mood, the energy is still up and everybody is still singing the songs word for word and I’m wowed and wondering where they’re still listening to these songs from. I love it so much and Ghana has a special place in my heart”, he said.
Buju also revealed that his first visit to Ghana, which was only a one day visit sometime last week, was purposely to shoot the music video for Wizkid’s latest hit song ‘Mood’ off the ‘Made in Lagos’ album which he was featured on, and the video will be out soon on all streaming platforms.
Buju again admitted that Ghana is an amazing country and he loves the serenity and youthful spirit of Ghanaians. The singer recently released his single ‘Testimony’ and the song is out for streaming on all digital platforms.
