Sensational Highlife Artiste, Kuami Eugene has stated that people understood the title of his new song “Obiaato” to be a vulgar language, when translated means “everyone’s ass”
He however set straight what he meant by the title of his song on Happy FM’s “Ayekoo After Drive” with DJ Advicer.
“Ghanaians are changing the meaning of my new song “Obiaato” I had many calls from people who expressed shock over the title of my new song. I however encouraged people to listen to the song because what I meant was that ‘people can now sing along with me when I sing’. It is a motivational song that inspires people”, he said.
According to him, he had no problem if people categorized “Obiaato” as a gospel music even though he identified himself as a highlife artiste. “It is possible to label ‘Obiaato’ as a gospel song because even Shatta Wale’s ‘My Level’ was categorized as a highlife song”, he added.
Kuami Eugene is promoting his new single dubbed “Obiaato”. He however promises his fans more songs before the end of the year.
