Chairman of the National Peace Council (NPC), Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi has advised business owners and organizations to invest in the development and growth of their young staff.
According to him, one can take the youth from any point of their life, invest in them and help them stand on their feet.
“I have raised a lot of young people both in business and church. Some are well established and come to me still for advice. The young people need to be given a chance and they will become excellent and excel. You can take anybody from anywhere and help them stand on their feet”.
He made this known in an interview with Akosua Hanson on Y 107.9 FM’s Myd Morning Radio Show.
Sharing some of the bad experiences he had as a businessman back in the day, he indicated that some people tried to discourage him from training his staff to the highest level they could reach.
“I took a boy from my church back then to work with me. I decided to take him to South Korea to train him and people kicked against the idea. They asked me if I was mad to train a Ghanaian boy abroad because it would have been to my disadvantage.
The Peace Council Chair who did not listen to these people went on the technical training with the young man and upon their return to the country, he became one of the most sought after technicians in the country “who was fixing audio and cassette systems all over the country”.
Rev. Dr. Ernest Adu-Gyamfi noted that the said young man did not only excel at his work but also helped him train his staff on the job which led to the overall growth of his multimedia business.
