Gospel Artiste, Minister Navah, known in private life as Nwolley A. Varlet Hubert, has finally spoken on his award after he was crowned the Artiste of the year at the just ended 2021 Western Music Awards.
The young artiste says the win, is a reminder for him to pursue even greater things in the music industry.
He tells Y97.9FM’s Chelsy Sey on the ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show: “There is a long way to go. This award is one of the things that keeps us going. I get encouraged by these things. It is a mandate. They tell you that you can do more.
It is a recognition, meaning that whatever I do, people appreciate it. I am sure the board just didn’t get up to give me the award. It was based on some merit and some votes so I think the people who voted believed that I have actually done well and that if they encourage me with the award, I can go further”.
The ‘Who I am’ singer added that he aims to win even more awards in both local and international awards.
In addition to winning the Artiste of the year award, Minister Navah also won in the Urban Gospel Artiste of the year category. He faced competition from Fameye, S.K. Frimpong, Ayesem, Keche and DopeNation to win the Artiste of the year.
