Versatile Ghanaian musician, Ko-Jo Cue has expressed his profound love for collaborations between rapper Sarkodie and songstress Efya.
Sharing insights on his recent collaboration with the songstress on his ’21 Memory Lane’ EP, he said, “I had to work with Efya. I hope this is just the first and we will do more together. I had to work with her because I am a big fan of Efya’s records she’s done with Sarkodie. I mean their duets, and I wanted to do something like that with her.”
The BBnZ signee conveyed that he likes two types of Efya, “The Efya with Sarkodie and the Efya with Yaa Pono and Paedae. So we’ve done this one and we are going to do the other side too.”
With collaborations between Sarkodie and Efya being mostly love songs, Ko-Jo Cue indicated, “Because I love these songs, I also sang on the tune and was like if she loves this song fine and I sent it to her and she liked it.”
He made this known in an interview with Y102.5FM’s NYDJ on the Ryse N Shyne Show.
Ko-Jo Cue and Efya’s DBMH (Don’t Break My Heart) song is track number 4 on the ’21 Memory Lane’ EP.
The ’21 Memory Lane’ EP is a love album which talks about the journey of a relationship. “it talks about the first time you meet a girl and everything is cozy and then things start to go bad. You then think you’re over her because you’ve found a new love but that doesn’t work out and you’re not trying to reconnect with her.”
