Celebrated actress and movie producer, Yvonne Nelson has broken the hearts of many Ghanaians with a recent tweet describing herself as a contributor and not an authority to change the Ghanaian Movie Industry.
Her statements come as a surprise to many since the actress was trusted and believed to put the Ghanaian movie industry on a higher pedestal than it is now.
In previous years, she has collaborated with other celebrities to start campaigns to improve the living habits of people living and working in Ghana, notable ones include the ‘Dumsor’ campaign and the Glaucoma awareness campaign after her grandmother died of the disease.
The actress also in recent times has produced several award-winning movies that promoted the Ghanaian industry to the rest of the world.
However, it looks like the award winning actress is giving up on her quest to change the society.
“I won’t be the one to change my industry, society and country…..BUT I’m doing my best where I am. #justlikemamadaycare #ynproductions #ynglaucomafoundation,” her tweet read.
