Despite having over 15 years of experience in the music industry, Ghanaian artiste and music link Smallgod claims that he has worked hard to earn the respect of prominent figures in the industry.
On two of his albums, Smallgod, who only released formal music as an artist in 2021, has collaborations with more than 50 musicians from all over the world.
In contrast to other musicians in the nation who must battle through all kinds of obstacles to get people to listen to their music, Smallgod’s ascent in the music scene has been rapid.
When asked why it was simple for him to attract well-known performers like Tory Lanez, Vic Mensa, Tiwa Savage, Black Sherif, etc. to appear on his albums, he said in an interview on Ameyaw TV
“I fought for people, at the time when I was fighting DJs, all these people, it wasn’t for me, it was for my friends who were musicians. So I did the work so when I came infront with my idea of being a musician, everyone knew who I was before coming out. I actually worked for it”.
