“I have a crazy fan base in the Pacific. Around that area because I was in Rarotonga, Melbourne, Brisbane , almost everywhere around the Pacific before I went to Oakland from New Zealand and that’s because they’re jamming to my music very well over there. I’m very popular when you go around the pacific, they know my music, they just to it all the time. I started getting calls for shows from I think before COVID. So we couldn’t go for the shows even though I mean the negotiations were on point and I had to go but because of Covid, I couldn’t go.”
The Lynx Entertainment signee disclosed that his appearance on CKay’s “Love Nwantiti” strengthen his ties with his fans in the region making impressive waves on TikTok as well.
“On a safer side it’s been very good on my side and I got to be featured in songs like ‘Love Nwantinti” which was a Worldwide mega hit. So it actually added to how big I got in New Zealand. Now most of the songs they are doing TikTok with, I find myself in there and I have the same one with ‘Angela’ and the same with ‘Confusion’, ‘Open Gate’ and Adina’s song ‘Killing Me Softly’ like the second biggest song over there,” he added.
He furthered that the decision to tour the Pacific was influenced by fellow record signee, Adina.
“I think it was even through Adina that actually enthused all of us in the label to really go there. It was an Adina-Kuami Eugene feature but she really did good in perform it and everyone was signing my part without me being there and it was just nice that we had to go there ourselves and they enjoying more with me and keeping more of my fan base coming from that side because it’s a big industry,” he continued.
