Ghanaian lyricist and singer, Mohammed Ismail Kwaku Frimpong Sharrif, internationally recognized as Black Sherrif has revealed his awareness of how great he would become from his early days.
In a viral video spotted on the internet, Blacko highlighted that his talent and the ability to make good music is a distinct feature that cannot be disputed. He said, “You can argue with me about everything, everything but my talent; never about my talent; people can deny anything about me but my ability to make good music and performances, I have control over that.”
Blacko mentioned that he made the right investments in himself and his career immediately after high school and never restrained himself from making the needed sacrifices to attain success. “After high school making music was my hobby; I had nothing to lose I was just risking it left and right; I had nothing to lose and I was just doing everything to make sure what I am doing will be at the right places.” he explained.
In his course towards success, the 2023 VGMA Artiste of The Year, disclosed that he prepared himself for all the interviews that presently come his way before he even released his first song. “I had no songs out in 2018,2019, back then I had no songs out; I would be walking and interviewing myself.”
Black Sherrif made his debut appearance into the music industry with ‘Money’ in 2020 and has done a tremendous job in putting Ghana on the world map by topping the charts of various music streaming platforms across the globe.
