The musician furthered that he once ended up at a washing bay owned by a classmate’s father who even gave him some money and told him to stop working in such places.
“I went to a washing bay to work one time and I realized it was owned by a classmate’s father. After he saw me working there, he spoke to his dad who told me I shouldn’t be here. After I explained to him that I needed the money to record, the man gave me some money and I left”.
Keche Andrew who really struggled to break through in the music industry motioned that prior to working at the washing bay, he worked in the shipping yards within the Tema enclave helping to offload goods from containers.
The Sekondi-Takoradi born artist and graduate of the St. John’s High School in the region left home for Tema after school. It was within this period that he started engaging in rap battles and eventually became friends with Joshua Ampah, birthing the Keche group.
