Ghanaian renowned radio presenter, Akosua Hanson has revealed that she had the interest to pursue law while growing up but later saw her calling in activism.
The Queen of Evening Radio on mentioned in an X space held by YFM to commemorate International Women’s Month that she had enough support from her parents to pursue her legal career.
However, the host of the commemoration conversation, indicated that at a certain phase of her life, she was enlightened on the complications associated with being a female in the legal fraternity. “I’ve had a lot of female friends in law who have had challenges. Some of these challenges are for instance some lecturers either wanting to sleep with them or else they fail; having to conform to a specific way they want lawyers to present.”
She commended all women that have taken it upon themselves to make strides in their respective industries despite the difficulties they face and expressed her gratitude to all women who have joined the equality for women campaign.
