American rapper and producer Ja Rule has arrived in Ghana to break ground on a new classroom block at the Nuaso Anglican Primary School.
Accompanied by his wife and team, Ja Rule landed in Ghana on Tuesday, April 9th and will attend the official groundbreaking ceremony on Wednesday, April 10th.
This latest education venture is a partnership between Ja Rule and Pencil of Promise, a U.S. non-profit organization that builds schools and expands educational opportunities in the developing world. The new primary school block is part of Ja Rule’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and empowering youth.
Ja Rule’s initiative follows in the footsteps of other high-profile celebrities who have invested in education in Ghana. Last year, comedian Michael Blackson made headlines with the inauguration of the “Michael Blackson Academy” in Agona Nsaba, a three-story complex that provides free educational opportunities to Ghanaian youth.
The groundbreaking ceremony at Nuaso Anglican Primary School marks the beginning of construction for the new classroom block, which is expected to be completed within the next six months. The project aims to improve access to quality education and support the educational aspirations of the local community.
