Every individual growing up has a number of role models they look up to, and Head of Communication for the Jospong Group of Companies, Sophia Kudjordji was no exception.
Her role models span from a variety of people in different sectors both in the local and international scene.
The astute communication expert, sharing her biggest inspiration growing up and as a career woman on Y107.9FM’s Myd Morning Radio show noted, “My mum, big sisters and Winnie Mandela were big inspirations in my life”.
The strength, commitment and beauty of Winnie Mandela especially, guided her formative years and it is no wonder she (Sophia) is one to contend with in all spheres of life. “I just couldn’t believe a woman will stand by her husband through such tough times as he was going to prison for that long a time. I read any and every material I found on her. She was so beautiful and strong”.
After Sophia heard of the divorce between Nelson and Winnie Mandela, she was obviously mad at Nelson “I know he wouldn’t have known but I was”, she said jovially.
On the local scene, she listed Madam Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, National Prayer Director for the Women’s Aglow Ministry an interdenominational Christian women’s fellowship, Elizabeth Hayfron Asare and Joyce Aryee as her inspirations.
Sophia is amazed by how these women juggle their work schedules with the numerous other activities they are engaged in.
“I am surprised and awed by these beautiful women. For Madam Gifty Afenyi-Dadzie, how she dresses and her haircut gets me. She is also prayerful and I am always asking how can she pray and still manage her busy schedule. I look up to these women a lot. For me, they are virtually living Christ”, she shared.
