“Girl, I don’t really care about your body type; what really matter na your vibe’ – Kizz Daniel sings on his recently released single “Lie.” The mid-tempo love song with a catchy chorus is the first track off his upcoming album, “AfroClassic.”
After dropping projects such as ‘No Bad Songz,’ ‘New Era,’ ‘King of Love,’ the Nigerian singer and songwriter is working on his fourth album set for release in 2022. “Right now, I’m buried in the project AfroClassic the album, I just want to conclude, finish and submit, set for release and pick a date” – he explained in a chat on YFM’s morning show, Ryse N Shyne.
Expanding on the album, Kizz Daniel hinted at collaborations with acts he described as African legends. Having worked with Becca and Sarkodie , Kizz Daniel assured fans of a feature from a Ghanaian artist. Vado featured on Becca’s 2018 hit ‘Gina’ and teamed up with Sarkodie on ‘Which One’ off his 2019 album, ‘Black Love.’
Outlining his plans for the rest of the year, Kizz Daniel mentioned upcoming concerts in Sierra Leone, Liberia, and Tanzania. “That’s just a long-overdue thing,” he said, speaking about the concerts. “The coronavirus last year did not let me cover these shows, so I am just trying to do that one to compensate for missing it last year,” he added.
He further announced a tour across Europe, Africa, and the United States next year to promote the album ‘Afroclassic.’ Initially excluding Ghana from the list of countries he mentioned to Brown Berry and DJ Loft, Kizz Daniel affirmed visiting Ghana during the tour.
Kizz Daniel born Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. Known for hits such as ‘Woju’ and ‘Yeba,’ Kizz Daniel expressed contentment about being a part of the Afrobeats movement. “You can’t mention Afrobeats without mentioning Kizz Daniel,” he said before urging African artists to remain united.
