Kunta Kinte of Bradez fame in a latest interview on the #DryveOfYourLyfe with PM on Y97.9FM in Takoradi has detailed how doctors diagnosed him wrongly.
About ten years ago, he suffered a mild stroke which took him away from the music scene.
The “simple” hit maker, born Kwaku Nsiah-Amankwah narrating the ordeal revealed;
“My sickness did not come as a result of what some Ghanaians claim some years ago. I got ill and was taken to the hospital but upon arrival we met a long queue but due to how serious my illness was, the patients who were yet to be attended to allowed me see the doctor first.
When I entered to see the doctor, the nurse on duty asked me out because she doesn’t understand why I jumped the queue to see the doctor and she made me wait till they had finished with those I met there”.
Kunta further revealed that he waited for two hours only for the doctor to diagnose him of malaria and was given two injections.
“The doctor did not perform proper medical checks before diagnosing me of malaria at the initial stage of the stroke. I later couldn’t feel my legsand that was when I was referred to the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital after spending five days at the Legon Hospital. With the help of God, family, friends and the doctors I pulled through.
