Media personality, actress and consultant, Anita Erskine, has advised the youth to own their dreams and latch on to it by any means and as unapologetically as they can.
Speaking with host, Comfort Ocran on the inspiring Springboard Hangout show which is aired on eTV Ghana, she disclosed that when she decided to own her dreams unapologetically, people made a lot of comments about it, however, she was not moved by them because she understood that she has only one life to live that dream.
“I challenge anybody. How unapologetic are you about your dreams and ambitions? Latch on to your dreams and own them apologetically because when that day comes, you’re gone”, she advised.
According to Anita, holding on to this personal advice did helped her so much that as at the time the Covid-19 pandemic hit, she already knew where she wanted to be, where she wanted to go and what she wanted to do.
Anita acknowledged that God being good, even though she could not go out to actualise her ideas, she figured out the ‘how’ by putting to use her voice, her computer and her internet data in the comfort of her home and this is when she brought to life her dream of teaching.
Being able to do all of this even amidst the Covid-19 pandemic, Anita shared what she had learnt from the disease outbreak.
She said, “Covid taught me the art of living with intention, owning your space unapologetically and breaking free of the shackles that regress your progress. Covid taught me if there was any kind of holdback, regression or bondage, it was all self-inflicted”.
