Ghanaian rapper and songwriter, Derrick Sarfo Kantanka, known in the music fraternity as Amerado has advised all industry players to always listen to their management teams for effective progress in thier crafts.
Speaking on Y97.FM, the rapper revealed that at times, he would have a strong desire to start a project but is later restrained by the management team despite his passion and strong urge for the project. “There have been countless days I have wanted to do something, but the team would not agree and advise me not to do it.” he said
The ‘I AM’ hitmaker added that a management team is a prerequisite of every industry, most especially the music industry. As a multi record hitmaker, Amerado hinted that there are songs he is eager to release to the world, however his management team are responsible for finding the perfect time to release those songs. “Sometimes we have songs that I personally want to drop but its been hoarded; they have to find the perfect time to drop those songs.”
Amerado noted that the management team does not always do what is desired by the artiste but does what is rather best for the artiste, using his recently released banger Back2Sender. “It happens, sometimes when you have leaders, you have to listen to them; sometimes even what you want is what they disagree with; like Back2Sender I told them not to drop it because when I recorded I did not really like it but now look, the ladies love it.”
