Margaret Dery Is Miss Ghana 2017

Margaret Mwintuur Dery beat 19 other aspiring ladies to clinch the ultimate prize and the honorable tag of Miss Ghana 2017, Miss Ghana 60YearsOn and Miss Ghana Diamond Jubilee Queen.
After series of grueling rounds, where the number was pruned to 10, then to 5, Margaret, who represents the Upper West Region – emerged the winner.
Priscilla Gameli from the Eastern Region and Marigold Frimpong from the Ashanti Region came in as 1st runner- up and 2^ndrunner up respectively.
Margaret Dery also won Miss Talent and ‘Beauty With A Purpose’ prizes while Priscilla Gameli from the Eastern Region won Miss Photogenic and Miss Beauty Skin.
Marigold Frimpong picked Miss Congeniality while Perpetual Acquah from the Central Region picked the award for Miss Top Model and Miss Fitness despite missing the top 10 slot.
Margaret is a student of the University of Development Studies, Wa Campus studying Social Science Education.
It was a good night, which saw performances from Amandzeba, Sherifa Gunu and Steve Bedi.
