Leading Software development company in Ghana, ShrinQ Limited, has proposed ways that will minimize the negative use of technology in our country.
Managing Partner of ShrinQ Limited, Sammy Ben Hammond, during the launch of the Technology Month on GMABC divulged that education and the highlighting of the positive use of technology by some Ghanaians are the surest ways of minimizing the negative use of technology.
Speaking to host Brown Berry on YFM’s ‘Ryse N Shyne’ show, he observed that some youth choose to use technology for the wrong reasons, when there are a wide array of beneficial uses of technology.
“To a large extent, I think a lot of the youth know what technology is and they understand how to use it. But as to whether they are using it for the right purposes or not, that is something that we really need to discuss because obviously there is this scam that goes on.
People understand how to bypass security that has been set in place and take advantage of people but there are some that are actually using it to enhance the economy to benefit Ghana as a nation. I know young people doing amazing things. It is about education. The more we shed light on the uses and advantages of tech, the more the youth are more inclined to use technology for positive things”.
Sammy noted because ShrinQ sees the importance of technology education, it is partnering GMABC to bring education on the uses of technology and its benefits.
ShrinQ is a software development company that focuses on enterprise firms developing software from the stages of research, implementation, testing software, identifying gaps in company systems and fixing them.
