Radio presenter and philanthropist, Naa Dzama has revealed that not all women are interested in counting women as integral members of society.
The Y107.9FM’s ShoutsonY co-host speaking in an X space held by YFM to commemorate International Women’s Month, said that women are made to grow in an environment that frowns upon giving women a voice, hence their nonchalance towards treatment of women in society. “Misogyny is not a male disease. There are women who are misogynistic as well and it’s because of how we’ve been raised.”
Naa Dzama upon this fact, stated that many women are still oblivious to the proper way they should be treated. “There are other women who will support the oppression of other women or are even oblivious to what it is; they don’t see it as oppression.”
She urged all women and feminists alike to be patient with such women and use encounters with them as a way to educate them on how they must be treated
