Ghanaian Retired Businessman and Military officer of the Ghana Armed Forces, Captain Prince Kofi Amoabeng, has asserted that his best life training came from being in the army.
Not disputing the fact that the journey and training was a tough one, he still saw the experience as fun and thinks what the army does effectively is to, “kill the civilian in you and break you down to rebuild you into a new person”.
Speaking to Akosua Hanson on the Y-Leaderboard Series on Y107.9fm he said, “When I came out as an army officer, I knew I would stay in the army forever until I retire. I was not going to leave because I loved it there”.
Talking about how he was able to quickly adjust to being there considering how different life was for him before entering the academy he noted that he believes, “The army has always been in me somewhere but, they just had to chip away the rough edges so the true Kofi Amoabeng would come out and I thank them for that”.
Sharing his experience he stated that, he enjoyed being there and by the time he was passing out as an army officer, “The training you receive there changes you, becomes life long and it stays with you forever”.
Describing the kind of person the military made him he shared that it made him a new person who is very disciplined, forthright, responsible, respects people and has the right values which he thinks is fantastic and every military person possess.
Captain Prince disclosed that, he was able to apply everything he learnt from the army to his everyday life and his business even after he retired hence, his reason for saying he had the best training and education from the army.
