Ghanaian poetess, Nana Akosua Serwaa Adu – Boateng has disclosed that growing up, her diaries were the only friends she had as a child.
The writer revealed that she started writing as early as her primary school days and added that she had no friends therefore writing was the only way she could pour out her feelings. “I realized that from an early age, there was something free about writing; I was a loner, I did not really have a lot of friends so I have been writing since probably primary or JHS” she highlighted.
“I guess writing was my way of letting out everything and my diaries were my friends so I just pouted out everything.” She connoted during an interview on Y107.9FM’s YLounge with host Akosua Hanson.
Akosua Serwaa recently got her first ever published poem catalogue titled ‘Love Nasab’ a compendium of inspiring poems with different themes that rotate around events of her life.
