After taking an ancestral DNA test, American rapper Meek Mill might be ready to declare his nationality as Ghanaian.
The Hip-Hop rapper born, Robert Rihmeek Williams took to his Instagram page to disclose the results of the DNA test which proved he is partially Ghanaian.
Despite being a Philadelphia native, Meek Mill has ancestors from Senegal, Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Togo, the Ivory Coast, Cameroon, Mali, Congo, and Ghana according to the DNA test results.
The specifics of the data show that the American rapper’s ethnicity is 21% from Benin and Togo, 18% from Ivory Coast and Ghana, 18% from Nigeria, 14% from Cameroon, Congo, and West Bantu Peoples, 8% from Mali, and 5% from Senegal.
Although Benin and Togo took the highest percentage, Meek Mill circled Ghana and Ivory Coast and tagged it “my second home.”
This comes barely a week after Meek Mill came to Ghana.
The rapper who had always expressed interest in visiting the country performed at the AfroNation concert on Thursday, December 29.
