Ghanaian-South African songwriter, Adina Thembi Ndamse popularly known as Adina has revealed that the relatable life experiences included in her songs is a key factor for her progress in the music industry.
In an interview on Y107.9FM’s Dryve of Your Lyfe with hosts Winston Micheals X AJ Da Hottest, she noted that people face challenges that are veiled by daily mandatory activities which in turn silences the effects of their problems. “People go through a lot; even over here if we stopped people randomly at this place to ask them how they are doing, how are they truly feeling and if they are really happy, we would hear a lot of stories that could even take a whole day.” she said.
The ‘Killing Me Softly’ hit-maker reminisced on the gratitude shown by a fan she encountered on account of Adina’s songs aiding her recovery from a tough life situation. “One day at the mall, during a TV show interaction session, there was this lady who saw me and went like Oh My God Adina when your song ‘Too Late’ came out I was going through a terrible break up and the song really helped me through it.” she stated as a testament to her unique approach towards music.
The eclectic vocalist however mentioned that all her efforts are geared towards giving listeners a feel of the passion and energy; a genuine relatable experience she deposits in each line . “I am big on vibes, I am big on passion, energy and that’s what I really put in my songs; I hope that whenever you guys hear my song you would be able to connect as much as I did when I was putting the song together or however I want you guys to feel, I hope you are able to hear the voice and say yeah I connect to this.”
