Ghanaian actor and musician Nenesenor Abloso has earned a prestigious nomination for Best Actor in a Leading Role at this year’s Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), with his film, Letters to Goddo, securing eight nominations in total.
The multifaceted Ghanaian entertainer, known for his versatility across stage and screen, stars in “Letters to Goddo,” a critically acclaimed movie that has been nominated in several major categories: Achievement in Cinematography, Achievement in Screenplay, Best Actor in a Leading Role, Best Actor in a Supporting Role, Achievement in Makeup, Best Director, and Best Film. It also received a nod for Best Debut Feature Film by a Director.
Nenesenor is in contention with co-star Duncan Murunyu Munga other incredible African talents like Femi Jacobs, Gabriel Afolayan, Zolixa Xaluva, Bucci Franklyn, Femi Jacobs and Chidi Mokeme.
The nominations highlight Nenesenor’s growing influence in African cinema, and the actor expressed his gratitude, saying, “I am deeply honoured to receive these nominations. The film has already garnered international attention, winning the Best First Film International award at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF 2024).
The 20th Africa Movie Academy Awards will be held on November 2, 2024, at the Balmoral Center in Ikeja, Nigeria.
